CONFIGURING THE GLOBAL LVIS SETTINGS

To ensure proper functionality and to adjust LVis for the type of configuration that is intended to be used, several global settings must be adjusted in LVis. To do this, click on “Settings” on the LVis menu bar to open the following window:

Here one can specify default system values such as e.g. the default analysis engine (note that it is possible to define an engine indivually for each counting routine in the Settings of the respective parameter set), the maximum number of half-lives for decay correction, peak search presets, Multi-detector configurations etc.. It is possible to populate the Names appearing in the pull-down menus for tagging measurements when starting parameterized acquisitions using LVis parameter sets. Amongst others it is possible to define customized input and output Units as well as additional system wide parameters affecting for example the handshake with a LIMS using the LVis text export feature or a special Protected mode for systems that are used in GMP environments.

See Settings section for more detailed information on the options on this screen.
